You did not stop by to see any knitting... You did not stop by to see any knitting...

You came to see a macabre bobbin massacre...

Still seeking knitting? Okay, I admit it. My Jedi Mind Trick skills are rusty on account of not practicing. And my knitting is coming along so slowly it would be inhumane to inflict an image of exactly '23 more rows' of Waving Lace on anyone.

But I've been so busy doing things like this.

And this.

A fellow hollowware student made the carving and we pressed my copper weaving onto it. We're trading materials/experience for more experiments with the hydraulic equipment. I'm going to weave more copper to press and he's going to give me woodshop lessons so I can bravely tackle the machines that terrify me. Ironically, we were both excited over the results of this experiment, but read it so differently. He sees a landscape and islands while I'm agog over the texture, and see archaeological stuff like dinosaur skeletons and spines.

I'm looking forward to more experiments and vow to finish those Waving Lace socks before the end of this month.

It worked! I actually didn't come by to see any knitting. I came by to see exactly what you showed! I would love to hear more about what you are doing.

*lol* What a great idea your trade is. Sounds like it will be enriching on both sides.

I come for the copper weaving too. It looks so pretty. I see the texture, but I also see a mountainous map. Very cool.
